People who study more tend to get better grades but when normal people like you and I try we get overwhelmed. We distract ourselves, we procrastinate , and usually find studying boring. In this blog we will discuss on how to study less and get better grades. This blog will also fuel your happieness for studying.
I know that people say ''I studyed for x amount of hours'' or ''I studyed for the entire day''. These people just want to brag and show that they are ready but studying with the amount of hours won't help you actually retain that information you studied. Although you can use the a timer to test yourself with past papers, you can't say to yourself that ''I studied for 5 hours last night'', insteed say to yourself that ''I studied x and y topics last night''. An easy fix to this is leave the clock away and focus on as much notes as you can study in a given amount of time, this leads me to step 2.

Putting time constrainst can help your mind focus and study more effeciently. Studies show that people who are tasked with completing an assignment in under a week tend to wait until the last minute compared to the people who are tasked with the same assignment for completion on one day, tend to complete it in shorter time. Putting time constraints makes the brain more active and allows a task, such as studying a history chapter, be more productive. You can use the Pomodoro technique. Basically study for 25 minutes and take a break for 5 minutes. Repeat this and you will see improvements in your focus and hopefully in your grades.

Although studying is helpful, you should not overwork it. Your brain is a muscle as well and muscles can not work well if overworked. Regular breaks allows the brain to recharge. This also allows your mental health to stay good and allows you to enjoy studying. Go for a jog or take a nap or watch a movie, anything that you enjoy.
